Thanks to Patrick Mooney and UBC, we have set up a test bed at the Totem Fields research facility, looking specifically at clover lawns. We will soon be able to measure the impact these alternative lawns could hold for pollinators and our pockets within the Vancouver region.

Over the next few weeks, we are going to be

 growing both white and crimson clover to see which can withstand generic management practices and still harbour beneficial insects. 

At 8pm last night, the site was still brimming with life, in the June evening heat. Honey, bumble and miner.
